The 480 will be faster, but at what cost? It will consume more power and run hotter. If you are looking to get an after market cooler, go for the 480, but if not, definitely the 6950.

EDIT: Nevermind, that galaxy card has the best cooler on the market. Don't think twice, buy buy buy!!!

That 480 has the AXP cooler so it takes up 3 slots. If that is not a problem for you then definitely get it because it will keep the card very cool and quiet. Amazing price. Practically half of what I paid for mine in September ($470). Gotta love deals like that. Newegg just had a deal for a 5870 for $180 and they were going $400 a year ago due to the late Fermi release.

Well ppl have oced them and messed them up but I read that if you can oc pretty high on stock voltages. and yes the vrms have been the cause of the failing cards but its bc ppl are pushing too many volts and the vrms burn out.

The 480 he's pointing to has a triple slot AXP cooler that will be cooler and quieter than a 570. Plus extra VRAM.
