Hey guys,

I know there are two GPU's on a GTX 590, but I was wondering what they were comparable to. Is it like running a SLI GTX 580, or closer to a SLI 570? Just trying to determine if I would do better with a SLI 570 or a single 590 set up.

Closer to a 570 but as drivers mature, it's actually going to get closer and closer to stock 580's.

For what it is, it's an excellent single slot solution.

The GTX 590 is pretty much 2 x GTX 580's sandwich together but both GTX 580's run faster apparently.

Just remember that the 590 is an internal exhaust, so it dumps a ton of heat in your case. Make sure you have good airflow in your case before you buy it, I know through experience cause I had a 590 and I had to end up returning it cause it was turning my case into an oven.

GTX590 at stock clocks is comparable to GTX 570 SLI in terms of GPU power. It is clocked nearly 200mhz lower on the core than a GTX 580, so even though the cores are the same it will still be slower. Testing mine it scores about the exact same as the 570 SLI I had previously.
