In a few months down the road I would like to buy a very good video card capable of doing 60FPS on all new games at ultra resolution. The only stipulation is that it needs to be nVidia. I am not sure if I should go for the GTX 980 or GTX 980ti. Or perhaps something better is coming down the road in the near future? My budget is $1000 CAD with both taxes and shipping for both the GPU and the Steam Link, all included.

Also, my Dell UltraSharp IPS Monitors run at 1920x1200 resolution and the TV runs at 1920x1080. Will there be any problems with this resolution switching for the Steam Link? Say that I am playing the games on my PC (using the monitors) at 1920x1080 one day. The next day I switch to the TV running at 1080p. Will I need to set my resolution to 1920x1080 within the game, or will Steam Link do this automatically for me? The same goes for going back to playing on the PC, 1920x1200 - will I need to manually switch the resolution in the game settings again after playing on the TV?

Thank you,
