GTX480 + 1055T Bottleneck

4074 63
So... my 1055T bottlenecks my GTX480, GPU usage does jump around 90-99% most of the time in games.

CPU atm with Stock cooler (Waiting on H80)
3500MHz CPU 1.32V
2500MHz Northbridge 1.23V CPU-NB

3DMark 11 scored around 4900.

Now it seems seriously low, and Im'a not liking.

And suggestions on how I could improve?

Yup, AMD CPU's suck until Bulldozer is released which I'm going to upgrade to one of those octo-core CPU's....

I used to run my CPU around 4.2GHz, and it was still around the same, going from 3.5 to 4.2 just game be around 5050 score on 3DMark 11

Just from the information you provided you can in no way say you are cpu bottle necked. In fact it is HIGHLY unlikely that you are.

If you lower the resolution one step at a time and look at your FPS do they go up or stay relatively constant?
I've only got a 1280x1080 screen lol

I coulden't get 3.7-3.8GHz on my CPU with the stock cooler, it kept crashing at high tempatures with the Physics test.

Here is my new result, http://3dmark.com/3dm11/1528740 it seems this is the highest I have ever achieved, still I think it's too low.

Strangely, when my CPU was at 4.2GHz and 3.0GHz Northbridge, I scored around 5000-5100. And yes, my CPU-NB and CPU was stable for 6 hours on Prime95 at the time.

lol, I knew something like this would come up.... All my money keep's going on my computer hardware, Next on my list to get is a Corsair H80 before I start saving to get a new Monitor.

I sometimes plug my computer into my 42in 1980x1080p TV that Iv'e got for blu-ray movies and the occasional gaming.

Even with 1980x1080 selected on 3DMark11 on my 42in, it lags like hell.... somewhere around 11FPS on everything

In custom settings where the resolution bit is, 1980x1080 1080p

I was doing 4.2GHz when I had my XSPC Rasa up and running..... until it all gone kapute! and melted....

Stuck with the Stock Cooler until I get the new Corsair H80.

Just scored 5917 in 3DMark11 when I overclocked my GTX480 to 830 Core and 2000 Memory with the same CPU overclock at 3612MHz and 3000Mhz on the Northbridge

That Why I gave up trying to optimize a overclock for my 6950 cuz the extra heat and noise and $ for a new heatsink was in no way worth the extra 1-2 frames per second id be getting while playing ya dig?

I'm going to get the Corsair H80 as the reviews say that it does better than a NH-D14

I'll see what I can do myself, I will give 3DMark 11, Vantage and Heaven and will post some links up with my scores for your curiosity.

Note, that I'm using the AMD Stock cooler, so it hinder's my ability to get 3.7GHz and over.

if the gpu and vram show near on 100% usage then they aren't being bottlenecked.

Cn Q is enabled, I tend to use my PC for watching blu-ray etc... and like to be a bit of a power saver lol.

GPU in X16 slot

I have the 125W edition I believe, of the 1055T
