i finally had enough balls to take apart the $500 gtx680 at redo the TIM with LP and i dropped a well deserved 10c. I don't know why i was scared i delided 5 ivy cpu's.

what was your temps before LP applying and after? you will gain more if you lap you heat sink to make it even and smooth if you want

I just tested it using furmark benchmark on the 1080p setting and I was hitting 73c now only hitting 63c. Also a couple hours of gaming would get to the 70's as well after this I played a few hours today and max temp was 51c. You mean lap the stock heatsink on the GTX 680?

That is awesome! Congrats! Those are great temps. Plus now it won't throttle since it won't hit 70C

Yeah, their stock thermal paste isn't that great.
