Well I bought Factions on ebay but I am curious is it worth it to get the original to start the story or am I not missing too much?

I have them all and I like all them.

The first one is longer than factions by far and has a better storyline.

You are missing out on stuff and also prophcies(the first one) and nightfall have holiday events that dont include factions
The first one is way better compared to Factions, its longer, got a better storyline plus you get skills from quests which is a definite plus. In factions you have to pay for them and that adds up fast. To me factions was more for the advanced user than a beginner. Prophecies is the way to go if your new to the game.
Buy them all imo. No monthly fee to play and there is varied benefits from each.

WOW, 2k+ hours in 11 months? Thats ridiculous. I've played like 450 hours in 19 months. I love the game though. I have prophecies and factions and I'm getting nightfall for christmas.
That is alot currently I've got only 666
hours logged in.

While were talking about GW any1 wanna join my guild? Were recruiting because our former leader left and she did things differently.
its kinda of like a conmtinuation. the first ti sto start the game and get used to then you keep moving on to the expansions
Nightfall and the original do not connect that much, plus if you want, just use the 14 day trial for the original and see if it is really worth it.
Anyone know how many FPS I should get with my X1600 Pro with the graphics settings set to high? I'm considering getting this game.

Takking a educated guess here you should have playable 40+ fps with res of 1280x1024 with max in game settings but no aa to 2x aa

I get about 170fps on Prophecies with all maxed out settings and 4x AA with EATM and AlphaSharpen on not a hard game to run but looks nice.
