I asked about RD890 chipsets on XS and I got this response.

Hey Chris, I ordered a Crosshair II, but right after that I found some bad things regarding older BIOS's not being compatible with PhII (ie, no boot) and bad HTT clocking. Cancelled it 2h later After that I almost bought a Destroyer but I had no experience with either Foxconn or nForce 780a. A bit more research learned me that actually 780a ain't really good for HTT clocking, which is a shame since actually only 780a boards do offer a good future proof feature, the choice between CFX and SLI.

I was sick of almost no issue free AM2+ boards, went i7. Although with my first Foxconn board, as long as Foxconn didnt pull the same marketing crap as DFI did, I can really recommend their boards

ChrisB17, you can still use CFX on a nForce board Only SLI is limited to chipsets, CFX only to the amount of PCI-express slots.

I am
U can xfire on a sli board? According to him you can?

You shouldn't be able to though.

If it's true that'd be nice..? Anyone try it? Though, I don't have anything close to SLI.

I though so. Its weird that guy has alot of post on there and has a nice setup and he says something like that. WTH.
I thought I saw an article not long ago that said someone CF'd on an SLI board.. Not sure though..
But isn't that not a SLI chipset board then?

x58 is not a nforce board? According to the guy that talked to OP??
We where talking about AM2+ boards. The board he said "Crosshair and destroyer" are 780a nvidia chipset boards. Which I DO NOT want.
