well i just bought a ocz vertex 32gb, and i just poped it in, did the usual, conected sata and sata power, fired the comp up, did the usual again with drive manage to format it, and just ran ht tach and hdtune and there both givinng me 93mb/s.....this things supost to be 200mb/s+

any ideas?

not sure, but a new drive should be way faster...any way you're somehow limiting it to SATA 1 speeds with a jumper or something?

there are no jumpers on the ssd but there is room for one, and this is being used with my sig rig

It seems like somebody didn't do their homework
There's a number of reasons why your performance is down and all of the answers can be found on the OCZ forums..

I suggest you start reading http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...play.php?f=186 it will both prolong the life and increase the performance of you SSD.
