i like ur rig

change one thing:

get the i7 920. why spend $300 more for the 940 when its the same CPU with different speed?

get the 920 with a good cooler and OC it to 3.0ghz+ and save money!

Looks great, are you planning raid with the two HDDs? No you do NOT need more than 1000w and probably could get by with less, even a 850, but nobody will fault you with 1000.
Good Luck!
EDIT: agreed on the 920 vs 940 save your money

Heyah, NvidiATW

My apologies for the lack of courtesy from some of our members, I am sure (or I hope) that these people do not mean it in a genuinely malicious manner... they are merely going through the motions.

That aside, your build looks quite nice. Fwiw, here are a couple of things that you might want to consider:
  • Replace the 940 with a 920. You could readily regain the lost CPU speed through overclocking
  • A larger monitor: The money saved from the CPU should help fund that change.
...just my

Your PSU should be fine for the System that you have listed.

Good luck, and when the time comes, enjoy your smokin' i7 system.

24" would be plenty for me, im just fine with my 22"

glad to see people agree with my 920 swap.
Hey guyz!let me say this first before i go i7 920.
(i have been gathering money since duel cores came out and i still have them)and im sure i will have enough budgest for 26 monitor ,not a problem

If you are sure that you can afford that kind of setup than go for the i7 965! This way you are future proof!
Everything else seems fine except I recommend getting the Cooler Master Cosmos S for a case...

Cheers bro!

First thread and he gets a Syr reply!

That rig is looking nice but you might be better with just one 295GTX for now and save your money for the next big card. The 295GTX will handle any game as of now and 2 just might be overkill. If you've got the cash though; go for it!

dont worry for the next big cards,im sure i wll be able to get them

my only question is wihch of these processor i7 965 or the EXtreme edition?

and you can you guyz say a excllent cooler?

Hope for nice replays!

i'd...

get an i7 920 instead of a 940
get 3 GTX 285 SSC's instead of a 295 - tri SLI scales better

i personally have a love for the antec 1200. get whichever case makes you happy. you might want to chuck in a copy of Vista 64-bit just to be certain if you don't have one, or you could try windows 7 beta
it looks like it will work to me.
