Maybe a dumb question but I plan to swap boards here soon. If I remember correctly the H50 has some sticky 3M tape on the back of it for socket 775 boards. I am sure I can get it off... my question is once it is off and I swap boards... how should i reapply?

Suppose I could just not use the tape but to my understanding it may provide some additional retention between the bracket and the board.

Anyone successfully remount one of these, and how did you do it?

I may be mental and over thinking this, it's possible.

Ditto.

I've done a LOT of remounts with mine, so I just went and bought a roll of the 3M double-sided tape. I'm OCD. It's around $2.50 for a roll.

The only thing the tape is used for is to make mounting the backplate a little easier. I did mine without using the tape and everything has been working just fine for the last few weeks.
