Remove fan grills (if any) to increase air flow.
Go through the build logs. There have been some great mods by people on this forum.

Putting in LED fans increases aesthetics, but is not a real mod. A fan controller can help silence a case, but again requires no cutting or permanent "modding" of the case. Powder coating... epic win
. I would personally like to see a mirror black HAF, though. Changing window, yet another great mod. And finally, cable management, essential for any windowed case.

Overall, great list so far. Get creative, we can't design it for you. And for the powdercoating, if you can do this or know someone that will for a low price, go for it. Powdercoating is durable and awsome. But if you like the looks of it, mirror black (or any other color) is awsome. It can be done with spray paint but requires multiple coats and multiple coats of clearcoat. Then polishing (and maybe color sanding, too). But the end result is amazing.

Also, look into watercooling if it's in the budget. Get some UV reactive tubing to go with the color scheme of your project.

Yea I want to go WC, just not sure how it will work out with my christmas budget as I have to buy all the other parts and build the pc as well.

I've just ordered my HAF932, and I'm gonna mod it too. I plan on cutting a new hole behind the mobo for SATA cables, cut a new window in the side panel, maybe cut a 120mm hole out in the back to increase airflow going out, and eventually I plan on painting it. If I can find somewhere local that will powder coat for cheap, I'll get it powder coated, but chances are, I'll just paint it myself. I'll probably wait until May or June when I'll have some more free time to paint, and it will be warmer outside. (From my experience, painting cases when its warm outside usually helps the paint to dry faster)

Not local but FrozenCPU powdercoats for $300 (the price of your GTX285). Although you're responsible for the shipping, I think it's a decent price (currently trying to find some feedback on their skills). I'm actually considering to have them to powdercoat my HAF 932 and I'll complete the rest of the mod myself (new side window & top window w/Xiggies and some other things I have in mind)

EDIT:
Scratch everything I've said above...someone had informed me to check out local autobody shops & I've found (4) that will powdercoat. Most expensive quote I had received was $160.

I just got one of these myself, and was coming up with a list on my whiteboard as well! While some of these aren't so much case mods, I think they'd be pretty cool:

-Hinged side panel (built in such a way that it can still be easily removed with the thumbscrews) that opens when you press a button down on the top of the case
-Stealth Mode Button (when you press it your case turns all of it's lights down or off and slows all of it's fans down to a specifically low setting). Kind of like a fan controller, except it's one button that always goes to some preset settings you have made.
-Ipod Docking Bay - some part of the case that your ipod slips into that connects it to a charger that is attached to a usb port. Built in such a way that the front of the ipod is still accessible but is also not sticking out of any sides of the case.

Just throwing those ideas out there. Think it'd be pretty cool to see some of them done.
