Well this is my first custom watercooling build
I want to add a tri rad to the top

the problem i have is i dont know what fans to use where without the problems

this my first large build and my first water cooling build
where can i put the fans ?

I have 5 noctua fans 2 akasa led fans 1 coolermaster tri led and 1 antec ltri led all 120mm i dont know where to put them,

I also have a 2x 200mm coolermaster fans 2x
220mm red led fans 1x 140mm

I will be putting in a tri rad at the top

should i change the top fans from 2 coolermaster 200mm to 3x 120mm or something else

or keep the 2x 200mm and also add 3x 120mm fans to the rad

ive been told for best cooling have the top and front as intake and side back as exhaust

what would you do ?

Remove the 200mm fans and replace them with 6 120mm fans in a push/pull configuration (Three on each side). Have the front as intake and the top as exhaust that way there is an actual flow direction from the front to the top. Also you should have the fan that's in the side panel set so it's blowing air into the case.

For a radiator the 200mm fans are no good. For the front have it as intake like it already should be. The back really doesn't matter much. If you want throw a 120mm fan as exhaust. That way you have air coming through the front and side panel and out through the top and top rear.

Well if you filled in the gaps between the radiator and the chassis at the top (with foam) you could probably get away with using the 200mm fans. It would look a lot better at least.

I'm doing my first WC loop in my HAF-X and i plan on putting a RX360 in the top with the stock 200mm fans on top and 3 gentle typhoons underneath in push pull. I also plan on sticking a RX120 on the exhaust with a gentle typhoon in push.

Cooler master R4's move 70CFM

CM 200mm fans only move 110CFM

you can have 3 120mm on the top

so it's 110CFM vs 210CFM

Uhh no, CFM doesn't matter as much as static pressure. Not to mention a good bit of that air doesn't even pass through the radiator since it's too wide and it will just be hitting the side of the radiator.
