Hard Drive formatting tool

What one is the best.. I would like to have one burned to a disk just in case I ever need one. Thanks.

Formatting, partitioning, resizing and the like: Parted Magic. I always keep a burned copy handy.

Gparted is a great one. Its linux based and is usually included on linux live cds but also has a stand alone live cd.
yeah i would recomend something more like a live cd or bartpe for this.

hyren's boot cd is a good start as well.

these types of cd's have been life savers in the past, with a linux livecd or bartpe, you have almost a fully functioning OS at your finger tips via cd/dvd.

knoppix is about the fastest livcd out there, it comes with a load, and i do mean, a load of tools, i personally use this when i go to fix ppl's computers i also have a cd of hyren's and bartpe just in case, but they mainly collect dust since i found the power of knoppix.

Parted Magic is Linux based, frequently updated and it is also a live CD so... (Many people seem to mistake it for partition magic which has nothing in common)
