Yea so what you need to do once you connect a new Hard drive is format it.
To do this...

Right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management >click on your new HD and format it to whatever format you want...

NTFS if you will be using it with Windows ONLY.

Hope this helps.

There should be a section on the second hard drive that says "Unallocated Space" or something like that. Right click, and click New Simple Volume. Allocate all the space and perform a quick format. There you go. Windows should be able to see it now.

I am having this exact problem. However when I right click it the only option is "properties" and "help"...the other choices are grayed out.

*Got it...missed a step. Thanks!
