So some of you have already found out, a few non-review members know as well.

1.) My rig is dead.
My new wife spilled a glass of water on top of it five weeks ago. This past Friday was my personal dead line to start rebuilding, in spirit of Johnny Cash, one piece at a time.

2.) I was one of the employees just laid off by Chesapeake Energy.
I am under NDA to not discuss the details, it wasn't a total shock, but like I said some details I can't mention. I am however, unemployed as of two days ago. I have already been given 2 job offers, with my first interview on Monday. Which is good news, the problem of course, money flow. I will not be able to rebuild my rig at this time. I have decided to try and hold out for a programming job. Robert Half technologies and TEKSystem had me take proficiency/aptitude tests for C# and scored in the 93% globally and 99% locally. I normally have zero faith in my abilities but being a logical creature I can't rationalize 99% as being meh. Especially since I have only been doing it for 4 years and am self taught. I think it's the confidence I need to try.

I do not want to be kicked out of the program, I earnestly want to be here, but there is no point in sending GPUs or CPUs etc to me at this time. I think until I get on my feet, I fall back to an Editor-like position and I will proofread/enhance anything submitted.

I am currently mobile on the G750JM stealth laptop so I can still review peripherals if they become available.

@Chipp I don't know if you guys are hiring, but my resume is attached to this forum post. Anyone else can look at it too

Really sorry to hear this. I'm sure having been accepted, you can be of great help in other areas. I know for sure, I will be sending you my reviews for proof reading as I sometimes mix words or forget a few minor things. (Challenges of being born French I guess).

I wish you the best of luck for everything, you have quite a resumé I'm sure everything will be fine!

All the best bud!

Sorry to hear that - glad it sounds like you'll be landing on your feet, though.

We actually don't have any full-time employees in the Overclock.net group - every single one of us is either part-time or has another primary job function within Wikia, so I don't think we'd be of much use to you. However, my day job is working as a software engineer, so if you need any assistance breaking into the industry I'm happy to try and point you in the right direction. (If you're at all interested in mobile work and wanted to hone your skills in a slightly new direction, mobile app development with C# in Xamarin is a particularly high-demand field right now. Lots of well-payed work available, and the software stack is really nice to work with.)

I guess that's what I will start teaching myself next.
