I just backed up my current windows image from my SSD to my RAID0 in about 3 minutes. The image is only about 35GB but that still seems pretty fast compared with other imaging software I've used. (I watched resource monitor as it was going and it was a steady 200+ MB/sec read from SSD and write to my RAID0.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and actually restored successfully to the SSD. This would be a great time saver if I ever need to format the SSD or lost my data.

I tried using DriveImage XML yesterday. It backed up the SSD image without a problem. Then it finished the restore smoothly. However, I wasn't able to boot from the SSD. I had to start over with a fresh install of windows 7.

I'm wondering what experiences others have had with various backups/restores, but mainly the built-in Windows 7 one.
