Not sure, but I noticed that the flickering blackscreen issue still occurs with crossfire setups.

I was testing out my new pair of 6970's last night and it occurred half a dozen times...

So I guess there is no official fix (yet, hopefully).

I was wondering about the msi aftburner crash issue the other day. I sold my 6950 so been out of the loop if they ever fixed the 6k series hard lock when using msi afterburner.

The "fix" is just to turn off your GPU monitoring software.

It's not related to overclocks or anything else, apparently. It would be nice to have your GPUz or Afterburner running, but oh well right? For now just turn it off and have fun.

Ed: The hollow: It's not purely an AMD problem, as I'm having the same issue on my 460s and have read of another guy crashing with a GTS 450.

When I run BFBC2 I don't have any GPU tools running...

Well my issue is the game going all static in sound and then the video turning all fuzzy/crashing instantly.

Then I can't use any hardware accelerated apps without the same symptoms minus the crashing. Reboot fixes it. -___-

Thanks for the heads up. I've been playing off and on lately and yet to crash so guess I'll keep my fingers crossed.

The fix for me was to not use any soundcards made by realtek. If I ever use my onboard sound by realtek to play BC2 it hardlocks after about 30 minutes and all i can do is hit the power button.

If you can try using a usb headset/soundcard or HDMI audio through your videocard. that fixes it for me.

Then I can't explain your crashing.

It doesn't seem to happen to everyone, either.

GPUz or Afterburner running? Try turning it off, see if the issue goes away.

You describe the same crash I have, except it hard-locks the computer and can only be remedied by the reset button.

First movement gets jumpy, 1-3 seconds later static sounds, then 1-5 seconds later gray screen/hard lock sometimes with painful noises.

I thought it was my sound card at first, but no. The problem is definitely the monitoring software. I can reproduce the problem _every_ single time with GPUz, and every single time without it, I have no problems with BFBC2.

Well the thing is i've played it a lot recently and its been fine. But just that once today it crashed. I always have AB running because I need the custom fan profile.

Is there any other way I can set a custom profile and monitor temps without AB running?
