Haunted PC giving me hell.

The computer that used to be in my sig until, in a fit of rage, changed it to my Power Mac, seems to be haunted. (3700+ Sandy, A8N-SLI Premium, 2x 512MB Corsair XMS, XP x64) My CD drive will work in some configs, but not others.

CD drive does work: Channel 0, Slave, Sharing with Boot Drive.
CD drive doesn't work: Channel 0, Master, Alone
Channel 0, Master, Sharing with Boot Drive
Channel 0, Master, Sharing with Slave drive
Channel 1, Master, Alone
Channel 1, Slave, Alone
Channel 1, Slave, Sharing with Slave Drive
Channel 1, Master, Sharing with Slave Drive
Channel 1, Slave, Sharing with Boot Drive

When i have 2x HDD on channel 1, they both work fine. When I have 1x HDD on each, they work fine. When I have 2x drives on channel 0, they work fine. The drive works on boot until windows starts booting. I give up. Please help!

Might be a bad cable, I had a similar problem that was very perplexing, I found out it was a bad cable. Try a shorter one too, if a different one of the same length doesn't work.

hmmm...okay...it seems the cable is fine, but i'll try anything once. I'm desperate.

Make sure you have the jumpers set to master on 1 ans slave on the other OR cable select on both.(if using only 1 cable)
