Hi, as title says, would it work or is it not up to the task? I have an extra one just laying around and if it will work figure I would us it as such.

If that is so, then whats the min card I want? I have an old 9600. Not that I need it, but figured if I can repurpose an old card for the job might as well. or if I can find one dirt cheap. might as well, if it will get me some performance increase. So if I do should I put it in my WC loop or just let it stay on air?

If you're playing Mafia 2, either of those cards would provide a benefit (the 260 slightly more so), but there's literally no other game aside from Mafia 2 that using either of those cards for physX is going make any sense.

Mafia 2 is a special case because of the way it's coded, wherein the cloth physX will run on the CPU no matter what unless you have a *dedicated* physX card. No other games work like this though, and the 580 SLI is plenty powerful enough to handle rendering + physX for anything else currently out there that supports hardware physX (which is a pathetically short list of games to begin with).

Well considering you have a 60Hz monitor with 580 SLI, your already overkill at that resolution so there's really no point at all. Even Mafia 2 never dipped below 120FPS with V Sync on when I had 570 SLI (PhysX on). So I doubt you're going to need a PhysX card to handle 60FPS for a game like Mafia 2/Metro or anyother game that uses PhysX with that set up. Any higher FPS on a 60Hz monitor shows very low benefit from what I've tested. Mafia 2 during the menu screen benefits from higher FPS though as well as source engine games.
