I myself just went through this very debate. However I'm replacing a CM V8, not a Xiggy Dark Knight. Just curious as to why you're replacing it? Oh, I went with a Megahalem and am doing a push/pull with some GentleTyphoons. If you go with the Kaze's, they're loud so I really urge a fan controller if you go that route. Here's a link that helped me out: http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...ered-here.html

Edit- What about a 3000rpm Ultra Kaze? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185054
they should all perform around the same cooling wise. The Kaze are loud have decent static pressure but tend to start clicking when undervolted

If I had to pick a Kaze fan I would get the 2000RPM version otherwise San Ace or Panaflo

Well I want better temps so I can push my overclock further and it seems like my dark knight is letting my temps get to high, about 56C on load at just 3.7 1.45. I don't mind the noise of the fans because I'm always listening to my music or playing a game. I just looked over that guide but it still doesn't help me decide which is best for me

i had a VX and it was about 5c - 8c higher then my true. i dunno was not impressed with the vx at all

current setup i have true lapped little pressure / washer mod nothing crazy with a kaze keeps a q9650 @ 4.25 full load with linx 68c -70c

maybe the vx does not work well with 38mm

I'd say the TRUE or maybe the Corsair H50. I had great success overclocking my 955 with the TRUE Solid Copper Edition....temps comparable to a decent watercooling system.

well when I had my Noctua which performs about the same as a Dark Knight and switched to a Megahalem with my Q9450 I saw a big improvement in my temps 7 degrees cooler info in my sig. Picking any of those will be a big upgrade with at least a 5 degree drop in temps.
