Hi, its been a long time since i last posted so i'll be straight.

Its been a wile since i have had my HD5850 and i think its time to upgrade.

Until now, it played all games on ultra high settings. Even Battlefield 3 on High with no lag at all or Ultra with a bit of lag. But new games came and come out like Cysis 3 GTA 5 etc. Should i upgrade it or stay with it until its useless ? If i upgrade i will go for the HIS Radeon HD 7950 IceQ X2 Boost Clock - 3 GΒ GDDR5 cause of better cooling than asus or msi.

As some one who owns both, the 7950 is double the performance. That being said dual 5850's are good if you can get a second and have a decent psu and motherboard for it. I would try and find a used one cheap. Other wise wait for the 8000 series. If you don't buy a new 8k series at least the 7k series will have a price drop. I am currently using the one remain 5850 i have in my HTPC and it still hold ups to modern games no problem at 1080p.

AMD has clarified that the next gen update to the HD 7900 cards comes only in Q4 2013. there is no point in waiting for a HD 8950 or HD 8970. get a HD 7950 and enjoy the performance. the HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost you chose is a very good card. but i don't think your case can fit the card. the his card measures 311 mm long. your case seems to support graphics cards upto 290mm length.

which country are you from ? other good options are sapphire hd 7950 boost, pcs+ hd 7950 boost, msi hd 7950 twin frozr

how many amps does your psu provide on +12v rail ? can you provide a product link or just post the image of the psu side label which shows the amps and wattage according to each rail +12v, +5v, +3.3v etc
