Hi Ocn

I need a little help

I’m hopefully going to buy a HD4850X2 2GB for my sig rig because I’m slowly going to be upgrading to an AM3 or Core i7 build in the summer I’m buying bit by bit starting with GPU to go in my current rig until I upgrade.

My Mobo (P5KPL-AM) is a single PCI-E 16x will the HD4850X2 have enough bandwidth to perform well

I have a 650w Trendsonic power supply SLI cert will I have enough power to run the HD4850X2 or will I need another power supply

P.S. or should I buy a GTX285

The HD4850X2 2GB is faster than the GTX285 1GB plus the HD4850X2 2GB is cheaper

Will the 32bit OS that I have be ok with this card and it memory size.

yes you'll be fine with the 4850x2 and your motherboard
it will work
Yeah the 4850x2 will work fine.
Not 100% sure on this but I think your cpu may bottleneck the 4850x2 somewhat.

As for upgrading, personally I would go i7 but that is just me. X58 mobo's look tight as hell and I am an Intel guy.
You'll do great. One pci-e 16x is perfect. Just make just your 650w is a good psu and you have at least 11-3/4" of room between your hard drive slots/rails and the back of your case to fit the card. You will love the card. I love mine so much if it broke today, I'd buy another one.
