Hd7950 shutting monitor off

Hey guys, I just finished installing the Swiftech Komodo on my HD 7950. Every time I get into a game my screen goes into power savings mode and I have to hard reboot. Temps are in the low forties at idle and it does not clime before it shuts down. Any idea's about what is going on. I have switched back to air cooling and the problem is gone...put the water block back on and it happens again. All the pads seem to be touching the spots they are suppose to be but I have really hit a wall and may try a fresh re-install as a last resort. Thanks for any info on this guys, Ian.
