Now that my new HDD is working, how do I move all of my files from my old hard drive to it? I'm looking for something smal in size and free! Oh and another thing, how do I work HDClone?

Oh and another thing, I don't have a floppy drive!
Well, there are 2 techniques that I have used: the first involves using the software that is usually packed with the hard drive. Maxtor's software makes a copy of your old drive onto the new drive through Windows using your CD drive. The second (since you don't have a floppy) is to install your OS onto the new drive. You then hook your old drive up as a slave (and NOT a boot drive). Then, you just copy all of your files from one drive to another.
I guess one other option would be to just connect the new drive as a slave and use it just like a new partition, but it will still have to be formatted. Hope that this helps.
Well, I always buy my HDDs OEM because I'm CHEAP, so I don't get any software. Then I found a CD that came with my mtoherboard and had Norton Ghost on it. UNFORTUNATELY all it had on it was a small 800kB DOS program named NGhost.exe that did nothing. And then, if this could get any worse, I think that the free version of HDClone only supports IDE drives (Considering that the copywright is from 1997).
