Alright, here's the problem: My Thinkpad's HDD decided to slowly die. I ran chkdsk on it from my folding rig and managed to pull some files off it, however, there are files that aren't showing up anywhere. Chkdsk reported a bunch or unreadable sectors so this comes as no surprise that there'd be files missing. The only problem is that there is a Dash wallet file (wallet.dat) in my appdata folder that I know is there, but isn't showing up in Windows or Debian Linux. I REALLY need this file because I have 1.2 Dash on that wallet that I mined last month.

Do you guys know of any utilities or methods of digging out the missing folders? I think the data is there but the pointers to it are missing so the file browser doesn't show them.

Try Recuva? It's free and helped me out sometimea aswell.
It worked. I can't thank you enough. There were a few Dash on that wallet and they almost were completely obliterated.
