I have been researching new Graphic cards for moving to a to a 4k monitor and or output to a 4k Projector when I upgrade that, for games, 4k movies etc...

I was told that I should only look at cards card with HDMI 2.0 for 4k.

However I have been a Radeon user since the 9800XT days, I just recently upgraded my system and had planned on cross-firing a pair of 390X's in it, but it appears AMD does not offer HDMI 2.0 support.

However I found this adapter; Club3D Mini Displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 UHD that is supposed to convert it to 2.0.

Will this work like a real 2.0 port or would I be better off switching to a Nvidia cards with true HDMI 2.0 port?

I have heard good things about club3d and their adapters.
So I would suspect it should work just fine, since that is what the adapter is designed for.
