hi everyone,
my name is john and i am new to this forum. i have some computing experience with hardware and software, but not much. i have had a 386, 486, PII, AMD thunderbird 1.2 ghz and now i am awaiting the delivery of my dell xps 700. i used to be much more into computers in the late 80's and early 90's as the situation back then was if you were a CNC programmer you also had to be able to handle the computer hardware and software. then as the machine shops got bigger we would hire a "computer guy" to manager the network and computers. i got turned off to computers for awhile because it was too much to keep up with in addition to all my work and personal stuff. i am also a little turned off with the never ending changing hardware, software, viruses, adware, spyware, etc. - what a never ending PITA. anyway, i have decided to come back and reacquaint and educate myself with computers. i will be posting to the forums asking for help in configuring my new computer. thank you for taking the time to read this.
regards,
You should fill in your posbit hardware profile. To do this, access the UserCP then Edit System Specs. You should check out the FAQ section when you have some time.
