help find me a motherboard

Hi Guys

I need help finding a motherboard, I am not looking for a gaming Rig
The processor i have already bought is the AMD pheno II x2 555 Black Edition.

I have a 4GB DDR3 Corsair Ram 1600Mhz c9 Ram to go with it

I am not looking to crossfire or Sli, this is just a performance rig that i want to build for my designing realted works, so i will only be adding a high end GPU in the future.

Currently the cabinet i have is the NZXT phantom, so if required i am willing to invest in a water cooling option as well, if the situation demands so

Now the problem i am facing is choosing the best motherboard for this, i want to buy a motherboard that will help me in unleashing the full potential of the CPU, i am looking to overclock the CPU and unlock the 2 cores making it a quadcore, and the TDP according to reviews for this processor increases to 125w once unlocked, i want a motherboard which supports ACC(advanced clock calibiration), also i want to avoid VRM hassle and frying up the whole thing so i want to know the best option for my needs.

Plz help guys, need to buy and assemble my rig within a few days, Suggestion please

Regards

If you can accomodate a full ATX board, one of the $80-100 range 870 chipset boards should do
Do you have a discrete gpu to use? The 870 chipset boards do not have integrated graphics. If you want integrated graphics go for a 880g or 890gx. the biostar ta890gxe mentioned above is a good choice.
I am not looking to crossfire or Sli

I am just looking for the best VFM option that helps in unlocking it's full potential plus it has to be VFM ( Value for Money ), I don't wanna end up with a frying pan

Also i don't have a discrete GPU set for it right now, i will add it later on so i do need the integrated graphics for some time, atleast a few months time.

I was looking at Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H and Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H boards, and i feel that Gigabyte do have an upper edge on build quality compared to other competitors, what do u think about these, although carrying a rating of 125w compatible, i would like to know whether adding a third party heating sink or an additional water cooling solution be enough to get me over the line, cos i do know i would be playing very close to the line with both these boards rated at 125w. I don't think that these boards have VRM cooling going on for them.

Also anymore VFM ( Value For Money ) suggestions? i am looking into the biostar boards but availability seems to be a problem for me at my place and since i'm not based in US buying from US is gonna be a costly affair.

TA890GxE for SURE.
Hmm... which boards are competition to the TA890GxE in order to make a comparison
Okay the feedback on that link u provided are showing some trouble for flashing BIOS, is this issue of USB not working for flashing BIOS without windows installed there with rev5.2 boards.

Also a bit skeptical since i see that u are also using this board, people tend to get biased towards the board they are using, this board has been out for quite long, still the market for it doesn't look to have picked up, maybe there are better options in that budget range ???

Also i am using NZXT phantom cabinet fo this and this worries me "There are only 3 fan connections (That is simply not enough. one for the CPU, one for the PSU, and only 1 for the case?!)" and this "When I connected additional 120mm case fans it would just run them at max rpm no matter what I did"

ALso this worries me "Apparently only version 5.2 (the latest version) has the ACC feature and ability to lock/unlock cores."

Does this mean i will have only 1 fan working in my case and that too running at max without any option to regulate the speed ? Will need to invest in splitters in that case

Also i want more phases preferably 8+2 since 555 BE is known for core stability issues, you also want a 8 pin CPU aux power input for your mobo as well for serious overclocking

Any more sugestions guys, any from the gigabyte or asus lineup which is better than GXE and i was reading some more reviews of the GXE, it does say that it OC's pretty nicely even with a 4+1 phase, although it's a good 4+1 and more always isn't better, but can someone enlighten whether i will be able to connect my 6 cabby fans since there are only 3 ports for connecting fans on the GXE mobo. Also phantom has an inbuilt fan regulator for all it's 6 fans, so i want to be able to use that feature and regulate my fan speeds, apparently this mobo just runs the fan at full rpm, wondering if the cabby's regulators will supersede the mobo's setup.
