Hi Overclock,

Here is the idea.

My friend has 800$ to spend on a computer and we are trying to get the best performance for $. This is strictly for GAMING, nothing else.

I told him that here we will have help from the best of the best

We live in California.

He needs:

Monitor
Motherboard
Processor
Ram
Hard drive
Video card
Cooler
Power supply
Case
DVD drive

He has;

Windows

Keyboard/mice
Will

Please any help will be really appreciate it.

He doesn't care if it is intel/amd he just wants to get the best possible gaming pc for 800$

Go with the 2500K, no need for 3570K, and drops the cost, also get a Z68 board if they are cheaper. If you have a Microcenter near you, they have both for cheaper than newegg, but its in-store pickup only.
