Unless I'm missing something..if CPU-Z is showing 800Mhz DRAM speed, then your getting an effective 1600Mhz since it's DDR RAM, or double data rate.
What voltage is your ram set at?

I had to up the volts on mine to get them to the right speed

lol man i feel stupid, thanks your right. ok but one thing its not running at the rated timings and latency how do i fix that?

This is the RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-303-_-Product

I understand it says for i5/i7 but I heard it can run on Phenom just need to do it manually.

EDIT: its supposed to be

Speed DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Cas Latency 7
Timing 7-8-7-24
Voltage 1.6V

This is what I see on CPU-Z

Use the SPD tab in CPU-Z to decipher which settings on above screen to input.

Start out by finding the specs on your RAM, set it to stock configuration for timing and voltage, then you can play with it from there to find its limitations.
Try running it on Command Rate 1T but ONLY IF YOU CAN.
I can

In most cases Ripjaws just wont work with AMD, if someone sais something else just go
and ask from Chew*..
Easy as going into BIOS and setting timings from there. Depending on your BIOS, could be in some OC section or something.

This is what I see in my bios looks different then the settings mentioned above. Any ideas on what I can do?

Thanks.

GAH took pic of bottom half! on the second pic brb 20mins will reupload.

Leave DRAM Frequency and DRAM Voltage as they are on that upper pic.
On the second picture, chance TCL to 7, TRCD to 8, TRP to 7, TRAS to 24 and TRC to 40. Also chance DRAM Command Rate to 2T. Raise voltage little if wont work (1.7v?).
What mobo you have?

It works thanks guys I got it running on rated speeds. man that feels good.

I have the ASUS EVO AM3 790X.

Now question, if I overclock the CPU Multiplier? will that raise the ram as well? or if I ramp up the CPU ratio will it affect the ram speed at 1600?

No, CPU multi wont effect to your memory clocks or timings.
Good to know that i was able to help.
