So hey guys, i recently tried to install an aftermarket cooler on my 6950. It all went well until i could not boot. 1 Long beep 2 short Beeps. So yeah. I cant RMA my card. I srsly feel like breaking the card in two right now. So bloody pissed.

If anyone can help me, please please do. Anything will be okay.
Many thanks.

1 long 2 short is a video card "issue", but you already know that...

Check the HS and make sure its not making a contact to anything but the gpu die itself... if you used a cleaning agent to get the original paste/pad off, be sure that there is no pad residue completing a contact somewhere on the card... the short is, as it where, pull it clean it (coffee filters are good), reseat the HS, and try again.

I bricked one of my 5850s by flashing the bios. I also had an aftermarket cooler on it. I restored the bios and put the old cooler back on it and sent it into sapphire for their warranty. Took about 2 weeks to get it back, they aren't very smart there (or just dont care). Just put the old cooler back on and send it in to the manufacturer.

Reinstall the stock cooler, did you remember to apply the thermal compound on the GPU before installing the aftermarket fan?
