right now im using SBC dsl internet<br><br>
Before i used 2wire modemn, but it stop working<br>
and i have another OLD dsl modemn.. the huge chunky modemn that says "speedstream in the fron and 4 small circles..<br><br>
right now my download is 80 kbs max... i forgot what i had when i have the 2wire...<br><br>

i have 200$ to spend on a modemn.. can someone show me a good modemn to buy? other then this one<br><br>

That's a cable modem. You need a DSL modem. There are things you can do to optimize your speed, like change the MTU on your computer. Go here, and see what you get:<br />

my download speed is 643 kbs and my upload speed is 318 kbs

I'm also using a router, it's the Wireless-G broudbrand router.. i forgot teh password to it, do u think my router made a limiit to my download speed?

Do you know what speed package you are paying for? The router could be limiting the bandwidth, due to an MTU config issue, or some other config problem. If you contact the SBC/AT&T, they will tell you to try connecting directly with the modem (bypass the router), and see what you get. I would recommend the same thing, otherwise we are just guessing.
