Guys today a Big storm happened near me okay i have a good serge protector but some reason it didn't help i was on my PC as of any other day OK and well i saw this gigantic spark coming out of my Psu then i go to turn towards my PC and black screen no fans are on either so i turn it back on fans go on and neon's for 2 seconds then die I'm really worried i even tried another psu what happened i just bought the PC this month. <br />
I don't want to see my PC dead.<img src="/images/smilies/mad.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Mad" class="inlineimg" /> <br />

PLEASE HELP ME IM IN NEED.<br />

<b>EDIT:</b> I'm so mad right now im on a 366mhz amd OC'd to 450MHZ with a 16mb PCI video card and 196mb of ram.<br />
I cant play any games and barely does windows.<br />
<br />
Plus i cannot test any of the items in my specs because thats the only pc i have other then this 450mhz pc.

Ok guys i know why the second psu didnt work it power the pc but no screen it was because half of my ide for the cd drive on the mobo was plugged in i might of bumped it when i was changing psu.<br />
So right now im using A OCZ GAMEstream something 600watt.<br />

WOW i got so lucky is there a way to check if anything got damaged.

First you get a big light and examine all hardware for scorch marks.<br />
<br />
Next you download <a href="http://www.hdtune.com/" target="_blank">HDTune</a> and see what it says in the SMART tab. If most everything is okay, then your drives are probably ok.<br />
<br />
Now, download <a href="http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm" target="_blank">Prime95</a> and run the blend test; maybe the Large FFT test too, after a few hours of the blend test. If no errors come up, your memory and CPU are probably fine.<br />
<br />
Aside from that, just listen for oddities in sound, or watch for problems with your CD-Rom drive.<br />

just check to make sure all important data is intact, that's the best way to know..<br />
