$270. for computer.
Add $40. for shipping.
Add $200. for ram.
Add $50. for DVD optical. Video card is also lousy.
For close to $600. you'll cross your fingers and hope it works.
How can he promise 3.0 ghz anyway>
I'd stay clear of that one.
You can build new 939 or AM2 socket for a few bucks more.

That is socket 754, and most likely has an AGP slot and no PCI-express. You would see a performance increase from your current rig, however, you would just be stuck with a another computer that is 1 generation of technology behind, and would basically be a money pit to attempt to upgrade. At the very least you need to get a 939/775 socket.
A new build with the parts in my sig/rig below add up to approx. $750. minus the OS, monitor & mouse.
For a few hundred more, you can have a Conroe 2 Duo screamer.
Either would last you much longer than what that 754 socket would!
I had the exact same CPU and mobo a while back. there's no way in screaming blue hades that setup will do 3.0GHz. That CPU has a severly limited memory controller, and will never pull the FSB necessary to get those kinds of numbers. Period.
The platform is limited to single channel memory which sorely hinders performance, and gives laughable memory bandwidth. Video card is, in a word, pathetic. It's blasphemy to even refer to a rig with a card that crappy as a 'gaming rig'.
As a backup rig for utilitarian purposes, it's more than sufficient, but expecting much beyond that is an exercise in futility.
Don't waste your money, you can build a budget rig with current generation parts that will blow that thing away, and be capable of upgrades for some time to come. That 754 rig is the definition of EOL (End of Life).
I have a PC here that is a heck of a lot better that I would sell you, go to my profile and look at the LAN rig. It would be the PC itself not the monitor, keyboard, or mouse. Just the PC nothing past that.
well,my system is better, considering i bought it for exactly the same price like 10 months ago,no wait i bought this piece of crap for 200$ in a deal.look at my rig's specs, ofc it didnt include hdd or screen but it did have a 6600LE which blows ALL the FX series cards away,FAR away.and it already had 512 mb of dual channel 3200+ ram in it
the fact that this pc hes offering has a 3700+ athlon,BIG wow.i overclocked my 3200+ 939 athlon to 2.4 now too,and the diffrence between 512kb cache and 1 mb is not that big when you have a lausy pathetic 5200fx lol
