HELP I think i bought incompatible RAM!

I just ordered the following:

Intel BOXDX58SO LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard -

RAM: Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220331

But now I am reading that this RAM might not be compatible with this motherboard due to the RAM having a voltage of 2.0 and the board wanting 1.5 .... Can I underclock the RAM and get it to work? Do I even need to? Both the board and RAM are non refundable so I am trying to figure out a solution.

UPDATE: I read that the memory is clockedat 1.9 to be optimized for OC'ing, does this mean I can set the board to run it at 1.65 and it will work safely? Can you run 1.9v RAM (the one i posted above) on a board that seems to want 1.5v (also posted above)? Or does this board actually support 1.9? I read that core 7's dont and people in the comments are saying the memory only supports nvidia chipsets. I am very confused please help

links fixed. Could someone look at the links to both and tell me if they are compatible as is, and if not if they are able to be tweaked to be compatible? I'd like to find out tonight so I can order the right kind if I have to.

Most likely, if you want to run it at 1.5 volts, you will have to run the RAM at a much slower speed as well (possibly down as low as 1066 Mhz). However, it appears as though this RAM should be compatible so I really don't know what to tell you.

Ok. I read something about the intel boards being very picky on RAM yet I could not find a compatible RAM list. Any word on the core i7's risking getting fried by having 1.9v RAM? I read that here:

You need to find RAM with the lowest possible Vdimm requirement. 1.5-1.6 ideal
your fine that is just the voltage used to run the run the ram at that speed and clocks. o and since it is an i7 get tri channel ram
i'd reccomend picking up a tripple channel RAM kit (will be for sure guaranteed with an I7 setup)
in the mean time, underclock the bajeezus out of that RAM, loosen the timings and undervolt them down if you have to
You'll need to find RAM with a lower VDimm requirement like 1.5 or 1.6. Undervolting the RAM you have will not harm it or your CPU, however, so you may give that a try first.
as stated before, try underclocking the RAM and begin looking for a triple channel kit.

keep the voltages below 1.65v as intel has stated that any higher is risking damage to your CPU.

there is a report from tom's documenting this.

so if i undervolt that particular ram, will it still run at DDR3 1600 speed?

When I undervolt the RAM, what do I set the timings to? The RAM is specced at 7-7-7-20 at 1.9
