Help- Laptop Resetting Constantly

Hi,

My girlfriends laptop keeps restarting over and over and wont turn on, its done this before but after about 5 minutes of doing so it started fine. When it does get into windows it runs without a problem for days until it is restarted or turned off again.

When it is in the reset loop the screen does not turn on so I cant get to the bios or anything else, and it restarts every 10 seconds or so.

Any ideas why it would do this or where to start with fixing this?

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit
2gb ram
AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core TK-53 1.70ghz

this is just an idea but take the battery out for a couple hours. Buy some of that duster at wallmart in the electronics section and blow in around the battery compartment. also make sure the power button isnt sticking.
