Get thee (online) to Newegg and build a couple of wish lists--that'll give you an idea how far $700 goes...For inexpensive power w/o HT the Prescott 2.4A on an Asus P800SE is hard to beat--crank it up to 3.6 at least on air--use a single fast HDD if it's in the budget--at least SATA 150 and preferably a 10,000 RPM WD---but a 7500RPM WD250 is only $125--a Nvidia 6800 GT or a ATI 850 XT would handle those games--value RAM -2 by 512 minimum will give you a start--you can always go cheap on the non-essentials like Onboard sound, no firewire, CD/DVD drives/burners. Those are potential upgrades that won't effect the econo-gamer BF2-blaster you have in mind
