I've recently upgraded from a E7400 to Q9650.

I have been thinking that my current psu in my sig maybe causing me some problems.

I have decided to upgrade my psu to set my mind at ease. My current psu was great with my E7400 so I am going to use it to build a HTPC with the E7400.

Here are the choices I have narrowed down to please take a look and give me your advice.

1)

KINGWIN Mach 1 ABT-600MA1S 600W ATX 12V Ver.2.2 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply - Retail

As a secondary question do you think this will be enough wattage if I decide to upgrade my GFX card and add a WC loop for cpu and NB?

Of the choices you listed I would get the OCZ . However I have more experience with pc power and cooling, and they are rock solid IMO.

Of those PSUs, the Seasonic is the best. However, you can get a Corsair 650-750w for the same price.

I saw the highest priced one, the seasonic, is $74.99.
Why not grab this PCP&C 610W Silencer for the same price?

Thanks for all the quick replies.

I have never heard of pc power and cooling which is probably noob on my part.

This one PCP&C 610W appears to be sold out on newegg.

It seems everyone likes the corsair 650tx better than my before mentioned choices. The only problem with it is it is not modular. I was really wanting to go modular this time.

Should I forget modular or is there a good one in my price range (70-80 pref 100 max)

I am still using the 7200gs.

A WC loop would come before a new GFX card.

I just want to make sure I get enough watts this time. If I get back into gaming I know I will need to upgrade the GFX card and I would hate to have to upgrade the psu too at that time.

I'm not sure you really need anything above 450 watts for your sig. Even though you've got a quad core, your graphics card isn't exactly power hungry. I would go with the seasonic the corsair equivalent

edit: we posted at the same time pretty much.
