Hello everyone, I am building a computer for an assoiciate who wants a nice system. I have already got a good deal on a cooler cosmos 1000 case w/ side window. I have been looking for good deals without breaking the bank. The lady I'm making this build for is not a gamer but she wants to be able to game if she decides to do so. Ive come up with this list of components from newegg and the discounts seem pretty good. I think this may be a bit more power than needed for this person. I am open to suggestions and would greatly apprieciate any and all advice. Thanks for your help.

this is taken from newegg shopping cart;

How much money does he want to spend and what does he use his computer for?

$80 MORE GETS HIM A PHENOM II 955 QUAD CORE. They are $199-$240 depending on the source.

G.Skill 4GB Pi Kit DDR3 1333 $66.99

Saphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 4870 1GB $154.99

Total = $584.96 + shipping

Even this is overkill.

Do you like the msi board over the asus? because after rebate, the asus mobo with same cpu combo is $20 cheaper and comes with a hdmi cord.
if you do (like it better than the asus) please say why. I have read (in newegg customer reviews) that some people have had problems with the onboard audio on the asus m4a78t-e.

both have 6 usb on back and ps/2 keyboard input on back.
I do like the right angle sata ports also on the msi
and cooling does look good. I've read that the northbridge gets really hot on the asus board (again only newegg reviews) and that the VIA onboard sound is junk.
I will look into the msi board a bit more. thanks again
