I have a Intel Core 2 Quad 2.83GHz Q9550S.

I would like to overclock it, the problem is that the system BIOS seems to be locked.

My board is an Intel DG45ID.

Things I have tried:
Looked for a way to flash the BIOS. No luck.

I am not fimiliar with flashing mobos but I am willing to give it a shot. thanks for your help

If your board doesn't support OC'ing, then you're out of luck.
The best way is to buy yourself a board that will allow OC'ing.
