AS THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE READ MY FEW PREVIOUS THREADS KNOW I AM BUILDING MY FIRST SYSTEM, AND AM A TOTAL No0B!!! TO HELP ME OUT I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I HAVE AND WHAT I AM PLANNING TO GET. CURRENTLY I HAVE A CORSAIR HX SERIES 620W PSU, KOOLANCE PC4-1025 SL 1000W LIAN-LI LIQUID COOLED CASE, AND SOUND BLASTER X-FI PLATINUM SOUND CARD. I AM BUYING AN ASUS P5W DH DELUXE MOBO, E6600 CPU, X1950 +FIRE EDITION GPU (WILL BUY THE X1950 XTX SLAVE LATER), WESTERN DIGITAL RAPTOR 150GB 10,000RPM HD, AND PLANNING ON GETTING CORSAIR TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2GB KIT DDR2-800 XMS2-6400 XTREME PERFORMANCE MEMORY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT WOULD MAKE SENSE TO GET DIFFERENT RAM, SOMETHING FASTER TO START, OR IF THERE IS RAM OUT THERE THAT WILL BE BETTER WITH MY SYSTEM WITH REGARDS TO OVERCLOCKING. I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP MY FIRST TWO STICKS UNDER $400 BUT LETS PRETEND MONEY IS NO ISSUE FOR THE FUN OF IT! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, AND THANKS.

lol- gotta appreciate yer sense o humor, Ben..Okay, here's the skinny on the RAM.... if yer not gonna overclock, the quality of the RAM isn't gonna make a huge difference, .. the speed is the most important element.. aside from the size.

BUT, since you're on an overclocking site asking for advice.. I'm gonna assume that you're gonna hype this puppy up... so , you want the best RAM that you can afford.Your best bet.... take a look at what folks have in their signature's when they post gr8 Oc'S. No. ... I'm not gonna make it easier for you than that. .. If you do a little legwork, you'll appreciate it more when you reach a magic number in cpu-z...... good luck with that rig, buddy!
