First time WCer.
Looking to do WCing sometime in the future with an 800D.

What do you think of my proposed system?
Reservoir: XSPC dual 5.25 bay reservoir http://www.jab-tech.com/XSPC-Clear-Dual-Bay-Reservoir-pr-4551.html
Pump: MCP355 http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-mcp355-pump.html
Rad: Black Ice GT 360 http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-mcp355-pump.html
CPU Block: EK HF http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10698/ex-blc-734/EK_Supreme_HF_Universal_CPU_Liquid_Cooling_Block_-_Rev_2_-_Full_Copper_-_Nickel_Plated_Sockets_775_1156_1366_939_940_771_754_AM2_AM2_AM3.html

Have not yet decided on tubing but I am looking at black 3/8 ID 1/2 OD.

Do the parts look ok? Did I miss any components? Did I go overkill on some components or skimp on others?

Note that the site I linked to is not necessarily where I will purchase from.

Fans? Gentle Typhoons AP-15 if you can find them.
Fittings/Nozzles? Bitspower or Koolance

But I'm certain you will get a bunch of people suggesting the Rasa kit when you mention the word "budget."

I don't think the components you are choosing fit in the "budget" category.

^^^ what he said.

What's great about it is if down the road you want to upgrade your radiator, you can. Same goes for all the other components...reservoir, pump, even the block. Although the block is pretty close in performance to some of the high end and high price blocks out there.

if the performance is the same, why are custom loop components twice as expensive.
for example, in the shopping list in my OP it had a total cost of $300.
this kit looks about the same and it's half the price.

Simple explanation...People are simply willing to pay THAT much more just for a degree or two difference in temps.

It's when you get into multiple blocks where you start getting into water restriction limits...where the more expensive blocks may be beneficial.

And another factor, while completely vain, is the bling factor. People are willing to pay to own a ferrari, when one could argue that a porsche can perform just as well for a fraction of the price.
