I currently helping my sis to build a new comp....
I have my old board..... msi kt6v-lsr
I have my aquarius 2 cooling on a new 2500 mobile
and a samsung 512mb ddr333.........
with a geforce 2 mx
with a 350watt no name psu
1 40gb harddrive
1 cd rw
1 dvd rom

I started up all run good.... except it when I try to lower the vcore to 1.45V and running at 11*166..... ( I know it's a bit low but I thought the mobile may be able to handle it..)
then I saved and restart...... but then the computer won't start.....
the msi board comes with a d-bracket that shows the status of the board..
and the light hangs on memory testing.... or damage.....
I couldn't figure it out....
and I was having problem with the board before.... when I took the cpu out to put in the water cooling before..... then it would even recognize the new 2500 mobile i bought or the amd 2800........soo I already sent it bak to msi and got a new or fixed one......
I'm getting sooo
with the board...........

thx in advance

You need to un plug the Computer, and remove the watch battery from the mobo for 5 min. Then replace the batt. plug in the computer, turn on.

Reset the time and date in the bois, and dont undervolt your CPU

Start it back up and see what the bios resets the voltage to. then check your temps

Thats one big problem. you have to reinstall (in most cases) windows when you switch Mobos. The drivers are not the same.

I fixed most of it now......
but the northbridge is still unusually hot.......
up to like 40C and I haven't even overclock nething yet
I have the exactly the same cpu.......
but the northbridge on my a7v880 is low 30
and I try to touch and north bridge heatsink on the msi board...
it really hot I think it's well over 40C

if it has a heatsink i say put a fan on it and see if that helps the temp of the nb chipset
