I record tv/movies and move the shows to another internal hd. The folder/video files are in the video section in the wmc menu, but when I go to watch them it will play some times but will have an error that causes wmc to restart...Is there a solution out there for this problem? I have looked on the web and on here with no luck any help would be great!

Update drivers, update codecs, run CHKDSK.

So if you play them from the other HDD they restart WMC, but not from the OS HDD?

Hmm, sounds like it could be an HDD issue, do you have another HDD or external you could try playing them off of?

Not that I know of since it's built in to Windows.

can you try recording directly to the other hard drive and see if it is still a problem?

WMC Tasks -> Settings -> TV -> Recorder -> Recorder Storage and then change the "Record on Drive"

I have no idea why it would do this though.
