could someone give me directions on how to run gpus on ubuntu 9.10 32 bit?
i tried to follow error 10's guide and everything worked up until step 3.
also i think i'm unable to run smp so running 2 single cores now.
for some reason i seem to be unable to run 9.04 both 32 and 64 and 9.10 64 on my usb bootable

and i'm quite new to ubuntu so detailed instructions would be great. thanks

i'll give it a try with 64 bit one more time tonight and report back. i've tried so many times with pen drive and livelinux creator but it was futile.

alright. thanks for the help so far guys. i think i've managed to install smp though it's not using both cores at 100.
i tried to use mentioned guide to install gpu but i've got problem saying something about kernal. could anyone shine more light on this matter?

Okay, now I am all ears.

Can you elaborate on the 'kernel' problem / error?

Also, did you specify the "-smp 2" flag to make sure you are getting SMP WU (designed for multi-core CPU, and will be using it at near 100%), and not older UniProc (Classic) WU (which are designed for the PIII, and it's lackeys).

in install nvidia cuda drivers and toolkit
step 1,2,3,4 works fine. but for 5 i can't put the code in terminal unless i close the thing i opened in step 1.
so let's say i closed it and put in sudo sh ~/Desktop/NVIDIA.run --no-x-check.
step 6 and 7 comes out so i select accept and no respectively.
then it says no precompiled kernel interface was found to match your kernel and they'll compile the new one.
then error message says if using linux 2.4 kernel make sure kernel sources match your kernel or headers installed on the system. if 2.6 same as above. etc.
let me get screeny soon

oh and the drives i downloaded are

http://www.nvidia.com/object/thankyo...77.73-pkg2.run

and

http://www.nvidia.com/object/thankyo...ubuntu8.04.run
