Help on reconnecting this wire.

i'm showing you this picture because if you notice, obviously the red wire is not connected to the power connector. now i just noticed this now, but i think my case may have come this way (probably about a month ago or so). i use the connector that the wire is missing on to power my case side fan. i have always kind of wondered why my fan spins so slow on the side, and i think i have just found the reason.

i think i can fix this myself, i just want to be clear on if i'm doing it right. i just have the remove some of the red covering off the wire, and then insert the bare wire into the pin inside the connector, and then pinch it closed right?
...please correct me if i'm wrong

...i didn't know where else to post this but the power supply section

A better way would be to get the pin out that broke off. Strip the wire a little and solder it to the pin where it used to connect to. You can crimp it like you said, but soldering will be a much better/sturdier connection. You have the right idea though.

do i just yank the pin out? i don't want to break it to the point where i can't even fix it at all

No.. Look down inside the terminal block (oposite end to where wire fits) and you'll see each metal pin has locking clips around it which lock the pin into the plastic plug. Use a couple of some small screwdrivers or tweezers to pinch these locking clips inwards a little and the metal pin should just drop out of the plastic plug.

i soldered it, and it is better than new, it feels like it has a much more durable connection than the others now, because it does
