Hi guys don't know where to post this so I hope its on the right thread..

As the title says .. this is purely for gaming..

The sure thing is I'm going to get 3x22" displays but..
I'm kinda' torn between native res.. 1920x1080 and 1680x1050 monitors ..

in eyefinity this is between ..

5760x1080 vs 5040x1050

does the additional pixels really matter in a game .. I mean while playing

any inputs ??

Doesn't really matter.

It depends on your monitors. Good 1680X1050 will look and feel better than bad 1920X1200.

I myself prefer my middle screen wider since that is where most of the information is and where you view is more centered.

And another note: the higher the resolution, the more it requires from the graphics card, so take that into account.

Alright thanks ..

I was thinking if all eyecandy / game settings are max out ..
Gameplay will be smoother at that resolution too ..

also I might get a 5870 traded to my 5850 but still not sure about the trade ..
but anyways .. if ever, 5870 will even give me more power for a 3x1680x1050..

Just thought I'd say that your 5850 will struggle to play most newer games at reasonable settings smoothly at that resolution.

But 1050p will do nicely too. I would take that because it is cheaper and easier to run...

I bet that muddy thing your talking about is not the "native" resolution of the monitor..

I've try that .. 1200p native res when set to 1050p looks blurry..
but 1050p native res is a different story ..

If all you play is WoW then go for it,other wise id be looking for at least another 5850 or possibly ditch the 5850 and buy a 5970.

Seriously

I thought the 5850 performed nicely here at high (5760x1200) resolution .. so @ 5040x1050 might cut it some more slack..

EDIT: I can always OC the card

I can settle (on lower res) and was asking @ 5040x1050..

but thanks for the inputs anyways..
just to make sure i need to get a 5870 alone or xfire w/ 5850..
