i finish building my pc yesterday and when i was going to power on i have to lights of the mobo on at top and one down, but the psu fan did not start or make any noise, so i need to know if the psu is not working? thx u.
YES don't run it without a fan it will likely catch fire the fans are there for a reason but i dont understand does your rig fire up can u boot windows and everything?

It's basically a same thing. Everything connected correctly? I just meant that, if your PSU don't have cooling, there's a possibility that it might blow up.
Please post with some decency, ie: use descriptive thread titles and good grammar/spelling.
From looking at your opening post I assume that you haven't actually managed to get the computer to POST. If when pressing the power button the computer doesn't power on then it is likely that you didn't connect the power button wire to the correct jumper on the motherboard.

no it did not start, when i try to start my comp nothing happen the psu fan did not start or make any noise so i think the psu is bad

Why you are asking, if you already know that the PSU is bad?
Check all your connections to the motherboard.Make sure your cmos jumper is in the correct position.I had that happen to me when I put my new rig together.

Without that jumper, it won't even startup. Probably the PSU is just dead, what is more likely.
