My rig: P5B deluxe, E6400, PSU 1 : Ultra X connect 500w, PSU 2: PC P&C Silencer 610w.
My first Mobo worked great. I follow the thread "P5B MOBO SETUP FOR BEST OC" and got 7 x 500 @ 3.5, 2hrs dual Prime no error. With Ultra X connect. But the dual BOOT strigger made me worry ( at that time I didn't know that it was normal with P5B when we rise FSB>360) then I did stupid RMA that mobo.

Now I get a new Mobo with new PSU (PC Power & cooling 610w mostly reccommended here).
With the Ultra X connect, I cannot get the nice number as the old mobo with the same setup. After 8hrs work around, I can get back that 7 x 500 with almost the same setup exclude Vcore that I have to leave it AUTO.
BIOS show Vcore 1.536, higher than my old mobo just 1.45.
3.3v @ 3.26
5v @ 5.09
12v @ 12.19
If I leave everything AUTO I can reach 7 x 480 or 8 x 450

With the PC P&C 610W. I CANNOT OC at all. It's fail when FSB>300. Whatever I set up BIOS as reccomended or leave it Auto, I CANNOT OC AT ALL. It take me 10hrs to verify this. I can't believe it! Members here make me think that this is BEST PSU in the market to date.
In BIOS Vcore 1.536
3.3v @ 3.3
5v @ 4.9
12v @ 11.88.

So????????????????
What was wrong here? Should I RMA both Mobo and S610w PSU. I'm not confidence with S610w at all. I may go with OCZ Xtremegame 700w.
Please com on, Every opinion appreciated.

Set your processor up at an overclock that you are certain that it will have stability. Run OCCT by itself, and I mean by itself. Upon completion of a test with over 90% of you cpu bandwidth being dedicated to OCCT you will get some informative graphs on you temps, voltages and such. Pay particular attention to your +12V rail, it should be over 12 volts and should not vary much at all overclocked compared to idle and should be damn solid while overclocking. Although PC Power and Cooling are considered the best of the best where PSU's are considered even they have some DOA units from time to time. Give that a go and then hopefully people will be able to help you from here.

Maybe what happens is that you got a board that runs great at stock but can't overclocked as good as the one you returned and now you might be stuck with a crappy board that perhaps someone else returned before because it wasn't good either.

Sounds like a 2nd RMA is coming, I seriously doubt that the PSU is at fault here.

I hook the Silencer 610W up to another mobo, Speedfan : [email protected] So, I consider that it's a bad one. Got RMA No for both, will ship it back to EGG tomorrow.

maybe a little offtopic, but Speedfan shows my +12v @ 3.34V
Is speedfan just messing this up or is this a problem with my PSU? I only have a 400W Huntkey silent, with 15A on the 12V, but everything runs fine.

That doesn't mean it is bad per se....it's not great, and I agree you should RMA it, but that may not be holding back your system. I have a Xion PowerReal PSU on my Presler rig, it idles at 12.05 or so and under load it drops to 11.88....but my system is rock stable at 3.8 and I have gotten it as high as 3.96 before temps stopped me.

My OCZ GameXStream in my Conroe sits at 12.25 idle and under max load drops to about 12.21......but the 5v rail is constantly 4.94
