I want to flash my Gigabyte 7970 OC to a 7970 ghz edition. I want to do this because the ghz edition has the voltage at 1.25 instead of the 1.15 of my OC edition. Because of this my OC edition has almost no OC headroom. When i try to flash it using the Gigabyte utility it says "wrong bios for card".

Is there a way to force the flash?

switch to stock bios (1), and flash with atiflash

you need win98boot, HP USB boot utility, the 7970ghz and then, uncompress win98boot

with the HP tool select the USB device and select Quick Format and Create a DOS starup disk, select the win98boot folder for the boot of the console then move atiflash and the 7970GHz/280x to the folder, to check all the video cards atiflash -i

and knowing the name of the bios and its extension for the first device(0) you write atiflash -f -p 0 NameOfTheBiosYouCopied.anything
